CNN political correspondent Brian Stelter accused Conservatives in ‘right-wing media’ for obsessing over the Justice Department’s decision to drop charges against retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn in lieu of focussing 100% of their efforts on the coronavirus pandemic.

“It’s so disappointing to look at what we’re seeing from right-wing media these days,” Stelter said Sunday. “Where there is such an obsession with the deep state and these revelations about the Russia probe … ”

“They’re treating the Michael Flynn story like it’s a bigger deal than the deaths of 2,000 Americans a day,” he added.

Stelter, whining ad naseam about conservatives in lieu of focusing on the actual news of the day (#Irony) was particularly irked by the President’s recent Fox & Friends appearance in which Trump “talked about the Flynn case for 20 minutes.”

“In what right mind is any scandal, any political scandal, any Department of Justice story more important to ask the President about than the pandemic that’s raging,” he asked. “Ultimately, that’s about news judgment, it’s about lack of judgment, but I find it befuddling that some people are acting like this death toll is just normal … ”

WIBC’s Tony Katz responded to Stelter’s comments Monday morning:

“Liberal outlets like CNN promoted the lies again and again. Now, when the lies are coming to light, the answer, according to Brian Stelter, is to say, ‘We’ve got more important things to discuss.’

“We can multi-task, Brian Stelter. So, can we now discuss how the people who are in charge of the intel apparatus of America – up to and including former President Barack Obama – flat out lied?”
