INDIANAPOLIS — KeyBank has announced plans to close almost half of its branches in central Indiana, including some locations in Indianapolis.

The Ohio-based company says it is closing some of its physical locations to focus more on digital banking. 

KeyBank plans to close 16 of its 35 branches in central Indiana by May 31, including 8 locations in Indianapolis. KeyBank will also close branches in Anderson, Greenwood, Kokomo, Noblesville, and Whiteland.

Employees at the affected bank branches will have a job opportunity at another KeyBank location, according to Inside Indiana Business.

KeyBank also plans to install more than 50 new ATMs across central Indiana over the next several months.

The affected branches include:

Indianapolis:

  • 5242 Rockville Road
  • 10 W. Market St., Suite 100
  • 2433 Lake Circle Drive
  • 6410 N. College Ave.
  • 4729 E. 82nd St.
  • 4645 S. Emerson Ave.
  • 12591 Southeastern Ave.

Greenwood:

  • 980 E. Main St.

Noblesville:

  • 110 N. 9th St.
  • 17665 Pebble Center Drive

Whiteland:

  • 39 N. U.S. 31

Anderson: 

  • 3228 Nichol Ave.
  • 2246 Broadway St.

Kokomo:

  • 300 Southway Blvd. East
  • 2405 W. Jefferson St.
