INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Metro Police are looking for a car that was stolen Wednesday morning from a store parking lot on Indy’s east side.
At least one person stole a 2008 Dodge Avenger from outside the Family Dollar at 38th Street and Emerson Avenue just before 10 a.m., says IMPD.
A four-year-old child was in the car’s backseat at the time.
IMPD says the driver of the stolen car stopped, dropped the child off outside a day care near 36th Street, and drove away in the stolen ride.
Anyone with information is asked to call IMPD or Crime Stoppers (317.262.TIPS).
