A job requirement for any White House Press Secretary is being fluent in BS. We can’t blame them, it comes with the territory. Shifting the narrative, softening the blow, pointing to a distraction as they run away, all skills one press secretary needs to master.
President Biden’s Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, has taken White House press conferences to a whole new level by introducing her new catch phrase: “We’ll circle back.”
Almost every other question, Psaki runs out of answers or just doesn’t feel like answering period. Cue “we’ll circle back.”
It’s actually pretty smart: she will compliment the journalist by congratulating them on a asking such a great question then figuratively spin them around until they can’t see straight.
