Dig this: Beto O’Rourke is not only a terrible presidential candidate, but he’s also an utterly reprehensible parent as well!

CNN’s highly-anticipated (cough, cough, chuckle) town hall forum on climate change took place Thursday night. The event featured a collection of democratic presidential frontrunners offering up their solutions to combat global warming (ban everything – including your own existence). Fun viewing, let me tell you.

The most disturbing moment in Thursday’s televised propaganda fest came courtesy of one Beto O’Rourke, Democrats’ 7th most popular choice for president, who admitted that he intentionally scared the living crap out of his 8-year-old son via fear-mongering about the environment.

O’Rourke admitted that he told his pre-pubescent child who probably still believes in Santa Claus that the family may no longer be able to live in El Paso, TX in the near future because global warming will make the city uninhabitable for human life.

What a dad. Those are the kind of bedtime stories that send your child to dreamland with a peaceful sense of spirit, eh?

Of course, this is also the guy who wrote about his fantasies of running over kids with his car, so working with kids just might not be his area of strength. But then, neither is running for president.

Shame on you, Beto O’Rourke.
