INDIANAPOLIS — If you have a serious sweet tooth, you are in for a treat. Thursday is World Chocolate Day!
The head chef of SoChatti in Indianapolis spoke to WISH TV’s Amicia Ramsey about the unique establishment. SoChatti offers classes that allow customers to make and enjoy chocolate, pair wines with chocolate, and more. The company’s chocolate is dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, and vegan.
WISH TV and the World Cocoa Foundation report that chocolate has a long history. Cacao plants were used by indigenous peoples around the world for a variety of reasons, including for use in religious ceremonies. These plants allowed for the production of chocolate in its many forms.
Chocolate became popular in Europe about 500 years ago. Today, it remains a fan-favorite for candy lovers, coffee-shop frequenters, and more.
