Head of the Indiana Senate Rodric Bray said last week schools that start the year with virtual learning should receive 15 percent less per student than schools taking place in person. This is consistent with the law under the school funding formula. But Governor Eric Holcomb is having none of it, and is ordering the State Board of Education to move their count date from September to December to get around the law. The move is enraging those who support in person learning. Rob Kendall and Abdul-Hakim Shabazz discuss Holcomb’s instructions and potential fallout.
