HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. — Police are investigating after a body was found inside a vehicle at a Hancock County rest stop.

The Hancock County Sheriff’s office was called Sunday evening to an eastbound rest stop to perform a welfare check on a person inside a vehicle, reports The Greenfield Reporter.

Deputies arrived and found a dead body inside the vehicle.

Major Robert Campbell told The Reporter that there are “no indications of foul play” but investigators will know more after an autopsy is complete.

The identity of the deceased will be released once family members have been notified.
