INDIANAPOLIS — Two Clark County judges were shot outside a White Castle downtown this morning.

IMPD said Clark County judges Andrew Adams and Brad Jacobs had been arguing when they are shot on the parking lot of the White Castle along South Street near Lucas Oil at around 3:30 a.m.

Witnesses inside the restaurant told police they first heard some kind of disturbance and heard gunshots. They say the two men had started arguing at the Red Garter gentlemen’s club and that argument carried over in to the parking lot of the White Castle when they were shot.

IMPD released a timeline about what happened Wednesday afternoon:

Sgt. Jim Gillespie, with IMPD public affairs, said officers from the downtown district heard faint gunshots shortly before 3:30. He said detectives have not been able to get statements from either man. He said they had visited several downtown restaurants/bars, and were not able to get into “the bar adjacent to the White Castle” because it closed at 3.

Police said they did not know what the argument was about, but a car pulled up while the judges and another person stood outside the White Castle. The two groups got into a physical fight. It’s still not clear who shot the judges, but Gillespie said the judges did not shoot each other. The shooter took off in the car.

IMPD was not releasing any suspect info.

They say the two men were both were transported to the hospital. According to Kathryn Dolan with the state Supreme Court, Jacobs is critical at Eskanazi while Adams is stable.

Police say the judges are in Indianapolis to attend a conference.

Two hours later a man was shot in the foot at an apartment complex on the west side near West Washington Street and 465.

Not even an hour after than a man and a woman were shot on the east side on North Linwood Avenue.
