(INDIANAPOLIS) –  Early voting is closed for Tuesday’s election, after nearly 12,000 Marion County residents cast their ballots.

The polls are open on Election Day from 6 a.m.m to 6 p.m. — at least if you have contested races. Some cities don’t.

In Marion County, twice as many people voted early as in the last election for mayor four years ago. One reason why: it’s the first time in 11 years you’ve been able to vote for a full month at locations other than the City-County Building.
