Olbermann Trys To Cancel St. Louis Cardinals: “Implode The Stadium”
Just another day in leftist cancel culture…
Keith Olbermann demanded players for the St. Louis Cardinals be banned for life after mimicking Trump… or so he thought.
Olbermann took to X Monday night to call on the MLB to not only confiscate the Cardinals franchise, but blow up their stadium. He claimed Cardinals hitter Alec Burleson was celebrating Trump during a recent game.
Burleson celebrated a home run against the Braves with his teammates by placing one hand over their ears and pumping a fist in in the air with the other. Immediately the internet took this on as a tribute to Trump, who famously held his wounded ear and pumped his fist after an attempted assassination in Pennsylvania.
Olbermann was one of the many who jumped on the moment to use ‘nazi’ word.
Olbermann insisted that Major League Baseball “ban” the players and to “implode” Busch Stadium.
However, like most cancel culture attempts, no one did their research. Cardinals’ veteran Matt Carpenter told St. Louis Post-Dispatch it was “definitely not a political statement.”
In fact, the celebration move was actually a move Burleson and his teammates have been performing ALL season. The hitter was a rapper and DJ in his college days, so to pay tribute (and some self-deprecating humor,) Burleson puts his hand over his ear to allude to invisible headphones and pumping up the crowd.
Olbermann’s since then deleted post would make you wonder if he’s learned his lesson, but who are we kidding?
Nigel can’t help but laugh at Kieth’s absurdity.
“How hyperbolic do you have to be to say ‘confiscate the Cardinals franchise and implode the stadium?’ Who’s taking this guy seriously, at all?”
Meanwhile, Hammer is just annoyed Olbermann made him defend the CARDINALS!
