LaPORTE, Ind.--When former LaPorte Police officer Brandon Wilkerson, 35, was caught by a cop in Michigan City, he was naked from the waist down, save the blue jeans down around his ankles. Wilkerson has resigned from his position as a police officer, reports the Northwest Indiana Times.
According to police reports Wilkerson was caught at 6 in the morning Aug. 12, apparently having sex with a woman in the doorway of a pickup truck, near Decoy’s Neighborhood Bar and Grill in Michigan City.
Arresting officers say he smelled of booze, blowing a .155 on the breathalyzer after being taken in.
Wilkerson had a pistol in his boot.
Police said in their report that both the bar and a 24-hour laundromat are close by, and that the truck could easily be seen.
Wilkerson and the woman police say he was with, have both been charged with misdemeanor public indecency. Wilkerson was also charged with being drunk in public.
He had been with the department for nine years, even earning a medal of “Distinguished Service” for safely taking a rifle away from a man who was pointing it at police.
