Former State Senator Brent Waltz Sentenced To 10 Months In Prison For Scheme

Former Indiana state Senator Brent Waltz was sentenced to 10 months imprisonment Wednesday after he acknowledged his role in a scheme to route $40,500 in illegal contributions to his failed bid for Congress. Waltz’s co-defendant in the case, John Keeler, was also sentenced Wednesday to two months in prison, and ordered to pay a fine of $55,000.
Waltz did an interview with WIBC’s Abdul Hakim-Shabazz during which he compared his prosecution to the Lincoln and JFK assassinations.
