South Carolina Republican Senator Tim Scott gave the official GOP response to Biden’s first joint address to Congress Wednesday night. The response was overwhelmingly positive from his party, while an equally strong negative reaction from the left.

The senator pushed back on several topics Biden presented including his infrastructure plan, the hypocrisy of Biden’s ‘want’ for bipartisanship, recognizing Operation Ward Speed, and police reform.

The biggest headline of the address was when Scott declared “America is not a racist country.” He warned the Democratic party that “race is not a political weapon to settle every issue the way a side wants.”

Minutes after Scott recognized his own personal experiences with discrimination, the ‘woke’ did what they do best and went to twitter.

Thousands referenced the senator as “Uncle Tim,” a reference to Uncle Tom, a derogatory word describing a black person who is overeager to win the approval of whites.

Craig Collins, who guest hosted Tony Katz’s Morning Show, says the woke dismantled their own argument.

“A lot of people were attacking Tim Scott last night on social media in a racist way. There’s no other way to say that. If you feel like you’re a ‘woke’ person…then go on social media to attack a black senator the way that you did, it doesn’t matter if the ‘racism’ is against your team or for your team there should probably not be any.”

Several politicians have spoken up agreeing with Scott and praising him for his GOP delivery.
