ISP: Man Thought Troopers Wanted to Race Him, Goes 120 MPH on Indiana Toll Road
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.–A man from Minneapolis, Minnesota was arrested on the Indiana Toll Road for going over 100 mph and resisting law enforcement Wednesday night.
Police say he refused to stop because he thought the troopers wanted to race.
State police say Musab Alhussein, 25, was driving a Mustang westbound on the Toll Road going 120 mph in a 70 mph zone around 9.
Officers say they tried to stop him, but he refused to stop, avoiding stop sticks, and shut off his lights at one point. They say they eventually deflated his tires and arrested him on the right shoulder near the 71-mile marker.
Alhussein was taken to the Elkhart County Jail.
Alhussein received several citations for moving violations.
He has also been charged resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, resisting law enforcement, and reckless driving.
