VIGO COUNTY, Ind.–Two men were arrested Tuesday night after police found drugs in the car they were in.
Indiana State Police say they pulled over a 2005 Infiniti for a license plate issue just before 11 in the area of westbound 7th Avenue near 13th street.
They say the driver, Lewis Ross, 39, was under the influence of drugs. Investigators say a test came back positive for amphetamines and opiates on Ross.
Officers say the passenger Gary Mankin, 31, had one gram of meth along with a .25 caliber Phoenix Arms semi-auto pistol. One of the state troopers said that the gun was stolen from Macomb, Ilinois in October 2001.
Both men are from Terre Haute. They’re both also in the Vigo County Jail facing multiple charges.
