EVANSVILLE, Ind. — An Evansville man has been sentenced to over 100 years in prison for the murder of a pregnant woman.
Scott Terry, 34, was found guilty in the fatal shooting of Candilyn Sexton in March 2022. He was sentenced to serve 105 years consecutively.
Sexton was in her third trimester when she was killed in a home on Indiana Street. She leaves behind four small children.
According to investigators, Terry recorded the altercation on Sexton’s cell phone and then called 911 for medical help afterward.
Terry’s attorney said the court will be notified if they decide to appeal the sentence.
