Woman Shot and Killed Outside Liquor Store on Indy’s Northwest Side
IMPD said a woman was shot and killed outside of a liquor store on the northwest side of Indianapolis early Saturday morning.
INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD said a woman was shot and killed early Saturday morning outside of a liquor store on the city’s northwest side.
Officers responded to a shooting at Jack’s Liquor Store at the intersection of 56th Street and Georgetown Road just before 3 a.m. When they arrived, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
The woman was taken to a local hospital in critical condition but later died there.
IMPD confirmed that a person of interest has been questioned about the shooting. It’s unclear if that person is a suspect.
Police said they are now looking at security camera footage and talking with witnesses.
