STATEWIDE — You may have heard tornadoes touched down in Indiana this past week, but conditions will get better. However, the temperatures won’t be so warm.

Chad Swain is a forecaster with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis. He talks about how conditions will be in Indiana throughout the workweek.

“It looks like Indiana will experience seasonable temperatures through mid-week with highs in the 50’s,” Swain says. “Then, we’ll experience chances of rain every few days starting Tuesday.”

Swain says by the end of the week, expect temperatures to warm up.

“We will be warming back up to maybe by the lower 70’s by Friday,” Swain says.

He also says the state could have a few thunderstorms, starting Friday, heading into the weekend, but no severe threats have been reported at this time.

“Later in the week, there could be a few thunderstorms on Friday into the weekend,” Swain says.

Monday’s temperatures won’t be so warm in Indiana.

“On Monday, it will still be breezy. We’ll still have wind gusts up to around 35 miles an hour,” Swain says.

Swain says this week will be a “typical spring week.”

“Keep your umbrella handy, as it will be breezy at times, but we’re not expecting severe weather at this time,” Swain says.
