What to Know: Statewide Tornado Test

STATEWIDE —Indiana will hold a statewide tornado drill Tuesday morning as part of Severe Weather Preparedness Week, running from March 9-15. The live test begins at 10:15 a.m. CT, covering most of the state.
The National Weather Service in Indianapolis, northern Indiana, Chicago, Louisville, and Paducah, Kentucky, will issue the drill.
The Indiana Department of Homeland Security and the Indiana Broadcasters Association will also conduct a live code tornado warning test, sending audio and message tones over NOAA Weather Radio transmitters. Local TV and radio stations may interrupt programming or show a warning scroll.
