NWS: Light Rain and Warmer Temperatures This Week in Indiana

STATEWIDE–Warmer weather will be around in Indiana all throughout the week with some scattered rain chances.

You’re not supposed to see snow anytime soon.

“We don’t have any real chances for snow, but we will have breezy conditions with wind gusts reaching as high as 30 mph at times this week,” said Andrew White, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.

White says the heaviest rain is likely to fall on Wednesday and affect the southern half of the state the most.

“But even with that, it will be between generally a quarter of an inch of rain to a half inch. I don’t think it will cause too many impacts,” said White.

White believes the rain will likely start on Wednesday during the evening rush hour and linger slightly into Thursday morning.

“We could see a few isolated showers linger into Thursday afternoon, but otherwise it is shaping up to be a fairly pleasant first half of the week,” said White.

White says high temperatures will be around 50 all across the state through most of the week and even when temperatures cool back down by the end of the week, they’ll still be in the 40-degree range.
