INDIANAPOLIS —Two people are in custody following a robbery on Southeastern Avenue Thursday morning. Around 8:00 a.m., officers learned that a Brinks Security employee had been robbed by two men while on duty.

The people fled in a car with a third person, leading to a brief chase that ended when the car crashed near S Arlington Avenue and Julian Avenue. The people then ran from the crash site on foot.

With help from the Indiana State Police, IMPD K9 Unit, and Aviation (Drone) Unit, officers arrested two of the three people and located several vehicles linked to the crime.

During the incident, Irvington Community School Corporation was placed on lockdown. That lockdown has since been lifted.
