A Recap of WIBC’s Hoosier Haunts Spotlight

STATEWIDE – In the days leading up to Halloween, you might have heard some of the Hoosier Haunts Spotlights airing on WIBC.
If you would like to learn more, continue reading to see which local businesses and organizations were highlighted in the special, and how you can check them out for yourself.
Segment 1 – The Indiana Fear Farm
Located in Jamestown, the Indiana Fear Farm recently celebrated its 22nd season. This attraction offers different levels of spooks, including a hayride for all ages, and a “Slaughter Barn” for those who like to be truly scared. Learn more here.
Segment 2 – Tuttle Orchards
Tuttle Orchards is a family-owned enterprise in Greenfield. While there are some special activities on the farm for Halloween, this Hoosier business is really a place to celebrate the Fall season with the whole family. Learn more here.
Segment 3 – The Randolph County Asylum and the Whispers Estate
These haunted properties are located in Winchester and Mitchell, respectively. Both the former asylum and the renovated home are said to be haunted by spirits, with many Hoosiers claiming that they had real encounters with the paranormal during their visits. Segment 4 – Abbott’s Candies and Donaldson’s Finer Chocolates
Abbott’s Candies is the oldest candy company in the state and is based in Hagerstown, with another location in Indianapolis. Segment 5 – The Pyramid of Enlightenment
At the Pyramid of Enlightenment in Indianapolis, you can seek assistance from psychics, undergo various therapeutic treatments, take classes, and more. While you may associate this with the occult, psychics say they actually just work to clarify the future and help people make choices, and they see customers of all faiths and walks of life.
