PLAINFIELD, Ind. – Plainfield Police seized 187 pounds of methamphetamine and 3 pounds of fentanyl after a traffic stop Tuesday.
The Plainfield police department says officers pulled over a passenger truck for multiple traffic violations near the Plainfield exit on I-70.
A K9 was called to the scene once officers became suspicious that drugs were in the truck and it picked up on the smell of narcotics. A search of the truck led officers to a 50-gallon work tote in the back of the truck bed. Inside, officers found a large black trash bag containing a cardboard box. Inside of that were bags of methamphetamine, and 3 other packages containing fentanyl pills.
The two men in the truck were arrested and booked into the Hendricks County Jail for possession with intent to distribute.
