Police: Indianapolis Man Arrested in Fishers Connected to Auto Theft Cases

FISHERS, Ind.–An Indianapolis man arrested on Thursday is someone who Fishers Police say is connected to more than five auto theft cases in Hamilton County.
That man has been identified as 22-year-old Montez Beech, a man investigators consider to be a felon. He also has an active warrant out from Marion County for auto theft and theft.

“The Noblesville Police Department’s Intelligence Unit alerted our patrol officers that several stolen vehicles had been reported in Noblesville earlier this week. The suspect vehicle, a blacked-out Hyundai Sedan, was seen in the Fishers area an hour before the stop. Using Flock technology and proactive police work, our officers were able to locate the vehicle in Fishers near 126th Street and Reynolds Drive,” said Fishers Police in a Friday morning news release.
The release also goes on to say that police used a drone to check the vehicle’s security and found Beech asleep in the driver’s seat. Beech surrendered to the police shortly after he was found.
Beech is now facing the following charges:
-Unlawful Carrying of a Handgun with a Felony Conviction
-Theft: Possession of Stolen Property
-Auto Theft
-Two counts of Unauthorized Entry of a Motor Vehicle
