INDIANAPOLIS — A City employee has been fired, after he apparently violated the City of Indianapolis’ Workplace Harassment Policy.
The City apparently found “overwhelming evidence” supporting allegations of sexual misconduct made against Matt Pleasant.
WISH-TV reports that Pleasant was formerly the Administrator for the Division of Current Planning. Documents indicate that allegations against him were made on July 22nd.

This follows reports that former Chief Deputy Mayor Thomas Cook sexually harassed and/or assaulted multiple women.
Last month, Indy Mayor Joe Hogsett signed an executive order, mandating that all city employees complete annual sexual harassment prevention training. Prior to this order, only supervisors had been required to take the training every two years.
He also noted, “A national law firm without local ties is being hired to review and make recommendations on our Employee Handbook… An anonymous reporting system will be made available to all employees.”
