JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. — A “drug sweep” in Johnson County has led to the arrests of dozens of people, most of whom are now facing felony charges.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office joined other law enforcement organizations Wednesday to make the arrests as part of a “proactive investigation that has been ongoing for several months.”

There were 58 arrest warrants served in total, as well as multiple search warrants.

Sheriff Duane Burgess says, “It is disheartening to see good…citizens forced to endure criminal activities in their communities. It is our duty as law enforcement to…ensure the safety of these areas.”

Officers are still investigating.
