Former Kokomo Police Officer Arrested for Sexual Misconduct

A Kokomo police officer has lost his job to an alleged sexual assault involving a juvenile.
Sinme I. Asomuyide, 31 years old of Indianapolis, has lost his job with the Kokomo Police Department after being arrested Monday in Tipton.
An Indiana State Police investigation into an alleged sexual assault involving a juvenile and the probationary officer started a couple weeks ago.
Asomuyide is charged with the following:
Sexual Misconduct with a minor- Level 4 Felony (1 count)
Sexual Battery- Level 4 Felony (1 count)
Child Seduction- Level 5 Felony (1 count)
Official Misconduct- Level 6 Felony (1 count)
He is currently being housed in the Tipton County Jail awaiting an initial court appearance.
