INDIANAPOLIS- A partial power outage at the Indianapolis Zoo caused several carts to stall on the Skyline. A rescue operation was needed to get everyone to safety Saturday afternoon.

Nobody was hurt, but four out of the five carts on the Skyline had riders on them. Zoo staff had to use a crane to bring them down. One of the riders on board was a pregnant woman with two children.

The staff at the Zoo believe there was an outage at the orangutan center, which is associated with the Skyline.

The power also went out in the dolphin pavilion.

The Zoo called in housekeeping, security, and maintenance personnel to control the crowds and help execute the rescue mission.

The entire rescue operation took about two hours. Once it was done, the Zoo resumed normal operations.
