Man Struck and Killed on Indy’s East Side
INDIANAPOLIS — A man was hit and killed by a car on the east side early Friday morning.
The crash happened shortly after 1 a.m. near East 38th Street and Irvington Avenue. The man was found in the road and died at the scene.
Police say the driver left at first but later returned. A blood test will check for drugs and alcohol.
Investigators have found one witness and are asking anyone else who saw the crash to come forward.
