Rokita Talks Flock Cameras, Marijuana and Political Division

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita joined Ryan Hedrick and Jerry Lopez to discuss several issues affecting Hoosiers, including flock cameras, marijuana, and the country’s growing political divide.

Rokita defended flock cameras as a law enforcement tool while addressing concerns about privacy and the storage of information collected by the devices. He argued that people generally do not have an expectation of privacy while in public, but acknowledged concerns about how collected data could be handled.

The Attorney General also discussed marijuana following the Trump administration’s decision to reclassify it from Schedule I to Schedule III. While Rokita said Indiana’s next steps remain uncertain, he acknowledged that marijuana policy could eventually become a question of “when” rather than “if.”

Rokita also shared concerns about what he views as the increasing normalization of socialism and communism in the United States. He suggested that education and political reactions to MAGA and conservatism could be contributing to the trend.
