Supreme Court Upholds Tennessee Gender Care Ban

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court is upholding a Tennessee law that restricts gender transition care for minors.
In what is being viewed as a major setback for transgender rights, the 6-3 ruling from the court will likely cause wide impact as 24 other states have similar laws to the one in Tennessee.
The law bans gender transition surgery, puberty blockers and hormone therapy. All three liberals were in dissent.
Chief John Roberts wrote the Tennessee law isn’t a form of sex discrimination that would be a violation of the 14th Amendment.
