Former Shelbyville School Board Member Arrested on Child Porn Charges
SHELBYVILLE, Ind –Former Shelbyville School Board vice president David Finkel has been charged with sex crimes against children by federal prosecutors.
Finkel is accused of sexual exploitation of a minor and possession of child pornography.
Police say he pretended to be a 27-year-old woman to chat with underage kids online and had child pornography on his electronic devices. The FBI conducted a search of Finkel’s home this month and says they found evidence of his crimes.
Finkel has been asked to step down from his position on the school board and is currently in custody awaiting further legal proceedings. He was arrested on Monday.
