Indiana Falls to South Carolina

BIRMINGHAM, AL—The #1 South Carolina Gamecocks took control in the third quarter and eventually finished off the 9th seeded Indiana Hoosiers in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament Round of 32 Sunday afternoon 64-53.

The Hoosiers jumped out to a 19-11 lead early in the first half, but South Carolina surged to within one by halftime (26-25).

The Gamecocks outscored Indiana 26-14 in the third quarter to ultimately take control of the game.

Bree Hall finished with 11 points to lead South Carolina.

Shay Ciezki was Indiana’s leading scorer with 12 points.

Indiana’s season ends with a record of 20-13.

South Carolina is 32-3. They advance to the Sweet 16.
