House Explodes in Rural Fountain County
PORTLAND ARCH, Ind. — A home exploded Thursday afternoon in Portland Arch, about five miles southwest of Attica in Fountain County.
Firefighters remained at the scene through late Thursday night. The owners told WLFI they were in the home when it happened. They were able to get out uninjured, but their two cats and eight dogs died.
The garage and two cars were destroyed.
Investigators are trying to figure out what caused the explosion.
