Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk has agreed to appear on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” but only if “the show airs unedited.” This comes after “The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart trashed Elon and DOGE on the show.

“I will do it if the show airs unedited,” Musk replied Wednesday to Stewart, “The Daily Show” and Farzad Media, which first made the suggestion that they have Elon on as a guest.

“We’d be delighted!” the show’s account responded.

On Wednesday, Musk offered to send Stewart some DOGE merchandise after Stewart went off the rails and sliced his hand open by smashing his mug on his desk during a fiery speech about government cuts initiated by Musk’s advisory body.

Stewart was addressing frustration over government inefficiencies and DOGE’s approach to pharmaceutical subsidies on Monday evening’s show when the injury occurred.

“I’ll be going to the hospital soon,” Stewart laughed as his hand bled.

Despite his outburst, Mr. Stewart said the government should run smoother.

“I want DOGE to work, I want better efficiencies, I want to get rid of the alphabet agencies that don’t do enough, make the Pentagon pass an audit, but we are DOGEing it in the wrong place if we want to really change the system,” Mr. Stewart said on Monday’s show.

On Thursday’s episode of his “Weekly Show” podcast, Stewart accused Musk of wrongly treating civil servants as “the enemy.”
