Keanu Reeves, known for starring in hit movies like “The Matrix” and “John Wick,” is set to make his professional auto racing debut this weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The actor will be behind the wheel of the No. 92 Eagles Canyon Racing Toyota GR86 during the GR Cup Series races scheduled for this weekend. While the races are part of the Indianapolis 8 Hour event, the cup races are separate from the eight-hour endurance race.

Reeves made the announcement in a video posted on the X account of Fanatec GT World Challenge America pwd by AWS, the official social media site for the series organizing this weekend’s events at Indy.

Reeves has an extensive history with cars and motorcycles. He has long been a visitor on both Formula 1 and MotoGP grids around the world. He is among the most dedicated celebrity fans of grand prix on both two or four wheels and possesses an impressive motorcycle collection.

Reeves will be joined at IMS by another celebrity driver: Cody Jones, from the 60-million subscriber Youtube channel Dude Perfect. Jones secured his spot in the race by winning a go-kart race among other members of the channel. It will be his organized auto racing debut.
