Expecting More Rain This Weekend

INDIANAPOLIS — You may have noticed strong winds and heavy rainfall Friday night. While meteorologists believe the worst of the storms have passed, they say sunshine is not in the forecast just yet.
Meteorologist Mike Ryan with the National Weather Service Indianapolis says wind gusts at the Indy airport hit 68 miles per hour Friday, and fallen tree limbs and power lines caused some damage.
He expects some rain to last through Sunday, as the remnants of Hurricane Helene are still in the Ohio Valley. But, he thinks wind gusts will slow, hitting 20-25 miles per hour Saturday.
And, next week, you can look forward to slightly warmer temperatures.
Ryan believes highs will approach 80 by Wednesday, with the latter part of the week featuring temps in the low- to mid-70s, which he calls “relatively typical” for this time of year.
