FISHERS, Ind. — A standoff between a woman and Fishers police is finally over.

The Fishers Police Department says it was a domestic disturbance that led to the standoff, which began around 8:30 Friday morning.

The woman drove to the intersection of 116th Street and Olio Road and parked her SUV, blocking traffic. Police closed that section of 116th street for several hours, while SWAT team members negotiated with the woman.

She finally surrendered peacefully, and no one was hurt.

She was taken to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.
