China’s Magnetic Levitation Train Has A Little Problem
Looks like China stole the technology to build themselves a magnetic levitation train!
How do we know China stole the technology? China built all those worthless electric buses for Indy’s Red Line. ‘Nuff said.
Dubbed the “Maglev,” the high-speed public transit vehicle uses electromagnetic force to move the train at speeds of up to 373 mph.
No word on how fast it can stop if a “Snidely Whiplash” ties a damsel to the tracks.
Here’s a quick video of China christening their new toy:

Sorry, wrong clip.
Here’s an approximation of a hobo trying to hitch a ride on the Maglev:

Anyway, it turns out the Maglev has a few operational challenges. At present, China has only one commercial Maglev line and it’s only 19 miles long.
The train is expected to emit a lower level of noise and requires less maintenance than other high-speed trains, according to Reuters. And we all know how concerned China is with the environment…
The interior of the Maglev looks rather luxurious from photos.
It also appears as though masks and social distancing are optional while enjoying public transit in China. Take a hint, TSA!
