INDIANAPOLIS — A man was killed after the car he was driving crashed into a utility pole on the city’s near northwest side early Thursday morning.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the 500 block of West 16th Street around 4:15 a.m. after the crash.

Police say the driver was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
