Charges Filed in Fatal LaGrange Co. Buggy Crash

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. – The driver who crashed into a buggy on Saturday, killing two people, faces criminal charges in LaGrange County.
Jazieel DeLeon, 21, of Ligonier, faces two counts of Operating While Intoxicated Causing Death.
DeLeon hit a buggy on County Road 800 South, leading to deaths of 44-year-old Velda Miller of Ligonier and her 15-year-old daughter, Melissa Joe.
The third person in the buggy, Ervin Miller, injured his neck but survived the crash.
A court date has not been announced.
