INDIANAPOLIS — An AMBER Alert for three children from Sturgis, Mich. has been canceled by the Indiana State Police.

Chelsea Lopez, Matteo Nieves, and Aldo Cruz were found in a home in Sturgis, Michigan at around 9 a.m. Thursday. All three children are safe. 

Their father, Fernando Cruz, is in custody.

INDIANAPOLIS — An AMBER Alert has been issued by the Indiana State Police on behalf of the Sturgis, Mich. Police Department.

ISP says three children were abducted by their father, 37-year-old Fernando Cruz, sometime on Wednesday, Aug. 29.

Police believe Cruz and the children are now in northern Indiana.

Chelsey Lopez, 5, is a Hispanic female. She was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt and blue pajama pants.

Matteo Nieves, 4, is a Hispanic male. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and red shorts.

Aldo Cruz, 2, was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and a diaper.

Their father, Fernando Cruz, is a Hispanic male, 5-feet, 8-inches tall, 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

He is said to be driving a black 2009 Chevy Traverse with Michigan plate DWH9204.
