INDIANAPOLIS — This year’s Indiana State Fair Queen is from Benton County.

Halle Shoults of Oxford, Ind., was crowned Miss Indiana State Fair 2019 on Sunday. She is the second representative from Benton County to be crowned Miss Indiana State Fair, fifty years after Terilyn Krill in 1969.

Shoults is a sophomore at Purdue, majoring in Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Critical Disabilities. As Indiana State Fair Queen, Shoults will visit 45 counties in June and July to promote the State Fair. 

The first runner-up was Miss Boone County, Maci French. Miss Elkhart County, Emily Yoder, was second runner-up. Miss Congeniality was Emily Scott, Miss Gibson County.

The 2019 Indiana State Fair will run Aug. 2 – Aug. 18.
