Indianapolis seeks to curb violence on eve of WNBA All Star game. Like you didn’t know it was coming. No really? Shocking!
Like you didn’t know it was coming: City seeks to curb violence on eve of WNBA All Star game. No really? For one, I’m shocked. That when the television cameras are in town, suddenly we do something about violence in Indy. It’s just ridiculous… Leaders and event organizers are trying to figure out what to do about violence. This should have been the conversation a year ago, six months ago, six weeks ago, six hours ago. When your money’s on the table, all of a sudden we should do something about violence when the health of the city and lives put on the line. Where the hell are you? It is offensive. That I am the one who was supportive of things that the WNBA is doing, and WNBA leadership has not been at the forefront of saying we need a better, safer city. It’s offense. It’s offensive…(We) expect more. We demand more of you. You can’t just ask for it now when your money is on the line. You wanna you’re gonna tell us that you’re this important part of the community? I love the word. I’d appreciate it if you damn well act like it. And I know you’re not used to talk like this. And who the hell am I to speak to you like this? I want you to be successful. I’d appreciate it if you’d be proactive in wanting all of us to be successful. Be great. So, expect next weekend for the city to be totally cleaned up and all the homeless. Ohh you won’t see them. No, no. When it comes to hiding things, Indianapolis is bar none. Solving the problems, creating better solutions, working proactively towards them well. Yeah, not so much.
