PRINCETON, Ind.–A former Princeton Community High School teacher is accused of asking a teenage girl to send him pictures of her in her underwear and stealing money from the school’s prom fund.
The Princeton Daily Clarion reports that Gibson County prosecutors filed attempted child seduction and theft charges against Gary Kinswa, 44. Those prosecutors believe Kinswa texted and emailed the girl for several weeks asking for pictures of her in her underwear. Investigators say the girl provided screenshots of some of the messages to them as evidence.
Court documents say Kinswa told the girl to delete the messages because it would cause him to lose his job and he couldn’t afford his wife’s medication.
Police later said they found receipts to an account that Kinswa oversaw as a prom sponsor. They say he was responsible for unauthorized cash withdrawals netting over $1,000 between January 1 and August 14.
Kinswa was dismissed Tuesday night by the North Gibson School Board.
