INDIANAPOLIS – A 16-year-old is facing charges of murder for shooting and killing a man on Indy’s west side.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says officers got a call about the shooting around 3:30 a.m. on January 20th, and they found 37-year-old Rodney Nixon Jr. at an apartment complex on North Warman Avenue.
Police say Nixon died at the scene.
The teenager was arrested on his warrant of “possession of a firearm” on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street on January 30th, but he was later released.
He was arrested again Monday after police continued to look into this case. However, officers did not say if the teenager would be charged as an adult.
