GREENWOOD, Ind. — A man who confessed to the shooting death of a teenager is pleading guilty, so now he’s going away for 55 years.
That’s the sentence for Tyrique Radford El, 22, who pleaded guilty to the murder of Temario Stokes, Jr, in Greenwood in 2022. Stokes was 16 at the time and Radford El was 20.
You may remember Stokes was shot and killed at a bus stop while waiting for the bus to take him to Whiteland High School. Investigators believe some sort of previous altercation between Radford El and Stokes, who had just moved to the area.
They say Radford El shot Stokes nine times at the bus stop and then ran away.
A judge handed down the sentence on Wednesday.
