On Saturday afternoon at 3:30pm the Purdue Boilermakers host the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the 89th meeting for the Shillelagh Trophy.
Purdue is entering the game 1-0 after demolishing Indiana State 49-0 in week one. Notre Dame enters week three of the season 1-1 after a catastrophic upset in its home opener against Northern Illinois.

Notre Dame won 27-13.
Historically, Notre Dame has dominated in the series. The Fighting Irish are 59-26-2 and 23-5 in the last 28 games. These two teams first met on November 14th, 1896. They played annually from 1946-2014.
