Federal authorities are investigating after former President Donald Trump was shot in an assassination attempt this weekend.

Trump was speaking at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania Saturday evening when multiple shots were heard in the crowd. The former president was shot in the ear, he was able to stand up and escorted away. One civilian was killed, two others injured. The shooter, a 20 year-old man was also killed.

The attempted assassination has placed the Secret Service under scrutiny. Witnesses claim they warned officers of the shooter minutes before shot were fired. Questions of how the shooter was able to be as close as 150 meters from the rally stage, if agents were denied requests for resources during advance preparations, and more are of concern.

Robert Caltabiano, a former U.S. Secret Service Special Agent in Charge, joined the Hammer and Nigel show to give his analysis on how Trump’s security team handled the situation.
